Academic Staff

Core Faculty

UFAZ has a highly qualified international academic staff composed of Azerbaijani and French faculty selected in collaboration with the University of Strasbourg. All courses are taught in English. Over the four-year program, 70% of the courses are delivered by professors invited from French universities, while the remaining 30% are taught by highly qualified Azerbaijani faculty selected jointly with the University of Strasbourg.

Permanent French Professors

The UFAZ faculty invited from France, who are permanently based in Baku, teach technical subjects such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. They work closely with local faculty and primarily focus on courses delivered during the first two years of the program.

Permanent Azerbaijani Professors

The Azerbaijani faculty at UFAZ are selected through a rigorous process in collaboration with the University of Strasbourg. Special emphasis is placed on their academic and research achievements, English language proficiency, and experience at foreign universities.

Invited Professors

Professors invited from abroad to UFAZ through the University of Strasbourg (UNISTRA) consortium share their knowledge and expertise with students throughout both the bachelor’s and master’s programs. The courses taught by these international faculty members are designed to ensure that students are prepared to meet the academic requirements of foreign higher education institutions.
