ASOIU Rector Meets with UFAZ Summer School Participants

Dr. Rufat Azizov, Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), met with students from the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) who will participate in the summer school organized at the University of Strasbourg in France.

During the meeting, the rector congratulated the students on earning the opportunity to take part in the summer school and wished them success. In his speech, he spoke about the educational opportunities offered by the University of Strasbourg, ASOIU, and UFAZ. He emphasized that such international programs play a crucial role in students’ academic and personal development. Dr. Rufat Azizov also highlighted the importance of gaining a deep understanding of science and fostering interest in research.

A Q&A session followed, during which the rector addressed students' questions related to the summer school, education, and academic life.

This year, 40 UFAZ students will participate in the summer school in France. The program is designed for second- and third-year students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance during their studies. They will spend two weeks at the modern student campus of the University of Strasbourg.

As part of the program, students will explore the atmosphere of a centuries-old university that meets modern educational standards. The agenda includes language courses, conversation clubs, and practical classes in the university’s scientific and educational laboratories. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit cultural and historical landmarks in the Strasbourg.
