Career Training Held for UFAZ Students by Azercell Representatives

On September 30, a career training session was held at the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) for final-year Bachelor’s students majoring in Computer Science, with the participation of representatives from Azercell.

The session aimed to support students in applying their academic knowledge in a real work environment and developing their professional skills. During the session, Gunel Majidova, Senior HR Specialist at Azercell, and Fadaya Yagnaliyeva, Junior HR Specialist, introduced students to career opportunities available to young people at the company. They also presented Azercell initiatives such as the Bursary Programme, DataMinds Bootcamp, and CyberCell Hackathon, as well as the company’s internship opportunities. It was noted that Azercell internships are paid and can be offered on both a part-time and full-time basis.

The training also focused on job interview preparation. Students received practical tips on what to pay attention to before, during, and after an interview, as well as common mistakes candidates should avoid during the recruitment process.

Students were also introduced to Azercell’s current vacancies and had the opportunity to submit their CVs to the company representatives for feedback. Their questions about recruitment and career opportunities were addressed, while several CVs were reviewed and discussed during the session.

The practical part of the training included an interactive session aimed at developing students’ interview skills. Participants were divided into groups of three and took turns playing the roles of interviewer, interviewee, and observer, simulating a real interview setting. This format gave students an opportunity to practise the interview process and test their own skills.

The session concluded with a feedback survey to gather students’ impressions, followed by small gifts presented to the participants by Azercell.
