Caspian Geo Career Day Held at UFAZ

On October 8, the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) hosted a Career Day event featuring Caspian Geo, one of the leading providers of seismic data acquisition services in the Caspian region. The event was attended by UFAZ and Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) 3rd and 4th year students, as well as alumni, eager to explore career opportunities in the geophysical and petroleum sectors.
Before the main session, a brief meeting was held with representatives from UFAZ, ASOIU, and Caspian Geo. During the meeting, potential areas of collaboration and future trainship opportunities for students were discussed. Participants included Nasiba Amirbayova, Advisor on Social Affairs to the Rector of ASOIU, Vazeh Asgarov, Executive Director of UFAZ, Martin Godon, Secretary General, Ganira Nasibova, Career Center Coordinator, as well as Aqamurad Muradov, General Manager of Caspian Geo, Khanali Ahmadov, Operations Manager, and Gunshan Isgandarova, HR Manager.
During the infosession, company representatives introduced Caspian Geo’s operations, emphasizing its extensive experience in onshore and offshore seismic projects. The presentation also highlighted the company’s active vacancies and career pathways for young professionals. Students learned about Caspian Geo’s long-standing history and its successful partnership between SOCAR and BGP Offshore, which has enabled the company to deliver seismic surveys for international operators such as BP, Total, ExxonMobil, and Chevron.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, where students received insights about technical and professional development opportunities in geophysical exploration. The event fostered direct communication between students and industry experts, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application in the energy sector.
