Certification Ceremony Held for Participants of the “Skills for the Next Generation” Training Program

The “Skills for the Next Generation” training program, jointly organized by the UFAZ Career Center in collaboration with the Azerbaijan HR Institute, Sustainera Solutions, and TotalEnergies, has successfully concluded.
Launched on April 15, the 4-week program was tailored for 3rd- and 4th-year engineering students, aiming to enhance their career prospects and provide valuable insights through real-world experiences shared by professionals. The 20-hour training included lectures, seminars, presentations, and interactive Q&A sessions. Throughout the program, students developed both technical knowledge and essential soft skills aligned with current industry demands.
Specialists from the Azerbaijan HR Institute, Turan Talibova and Esmira Ibrahimova, conducted a series titled “Soft Skills for Engineers.” The sessions emphasized Leadership skills for future engineers in the energy sector and Conflict resolution in the workplace. The training also addressed the evolving skill sets required in this rapidly advancing industry.
Representatives from Sustainera Solutions - Rahman Gadirov, Narmina Aliyeva, and Murad Huseynov -delivered sessions on “Foundations of Sustainability & ESG.” Sessions covering the Sustainability & ESG fundamentals, ESG in practice & future trends, as well as Innovation & entrepreneurship in the green energy sector, provided participants with knowledge essential for building a “green future.”
In collaboration with TotalEnergies, sessions focused on “The Future of Sustainable Energy,” led by Chingiz Orucov and Emil Hasanov. Topics included the Energy transition & the role of oil & gas companies, The future of renewable energy: opportunities & challenges, and Circular economy in the energy sector. The program provided essential skills and knowledge for young professionals building careers in various branches of the energy field.
The certification ceremony was opened by Latifa Nasibova, Acting Executive Director of UFAZ, and Martin Godon, Secretary General. UFAZ management highlighted the value of the Career Center's initiative, the contributions of the partners to human capital development, and the active participation of students. A recap video showcasing highlights from the training sessions was then presented.
Following the opening, remarks were given by Ayten Huseynova, Head of Partnerships at the Azerbaijan HR Institute; Narmina Aliyeva, Business Development Officer at Sustainera Solutions; and Chingiz Orucov, Senior Business Developer at TotalEnergies. The speakers praised the students' eagerness to learn and embrace innovation, especially in an era shaped by sustainability principles. They highlighted the students' attentiveness and innovative ideas, wishing them success in their future careers.
After the speeches, UFAZ management presented certificates of appreciation to the representatives of partner organizations. Certificates were also awarded by the trainers to 17 students who stood out among over 70 applicants and successfully completed the training. Students representing various universities emphasized that the training program had opened up new opportunities for them.
The ceremony concluded with group photos including university management, trainers, and students. The networking session followed, providing space for knowledge exchange and potential collaborations.
