CH4NGE Startup by UFAZ Students and Alumni Presented in Germany

In January 2025, the CH4NGE team from the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) won the ClimateTech incubation program, which was jointly organized by SpinLab and SABAH.HUB in Baku. At the Demo Day, the CH4NGE team pitched their project to a high-level jury and secured an invitation to the Selection Day held in Leipzig, Germany, by SpinLab.

In the next stage of the competition, team members Kamal Ahmadov, Suad Afandiyeva, and Rana Aliyeva presented their startup at the SpinLab – The HHL Accelerator program in Germany. The CH4NGE project attracted significant international interest. Thanks to this opportunity, the team was able to connect with the SpinLab community, explore Leipzig’s startup ecosystem, and further develop their ClimateTech solution on a global scale.

SpinLab – The HHL Accelerator is a startup development center that supports entrepreneurial and innovative teams seeking to scale their businesses. Its mission is to help build an innovative, diverse, and sustainable society through a hands-on approach. Founding teams benefit from intensive coaching, mentoring program, and access to a broad network of investors, leading companies, and fellow entrepreneurs. The event was especially productive for the UFAZ students in this regard.

During the preparation phase, the CH4NGE team, with support from Dmitriy Kuramshin and Tamerlan Imanov, developed an initial MVP version covering most of the core functionalities. Adrian Slowik, Kathrin Kronberger, and Lukas Zechel mentored the students, helping them refine both the product and the pitch.
