Meeting of the UFAZ Teachers to Review the 2024-2025 Academic Year Outcomes

An event was held at the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) between the management and academic staff to review the outcomes of the 2024-2025 academic year. During the meeting, Deputy Head of the Education Department, Samra Shiriyeva, delivered a presentation. The session covered key performance indicators for both - bachelor's and master's programs across the fall and spring semesters. Updates were also shared regarding students who are interning at French research laboratories and prestigious industrial enterprises in Azerbaijan.
A summary of the second Development Council meeting, a three-day session with the participation of the academic staff, industry leaders, students, and alumni was presented. During the presentation, forecasts for bachelor's and master's programs for the 2025-2026 academic year were shared.
Events organized throughout the year by the UFAZ Innovation Center, Career Center, and Research Department were discussed. Plans for the UFAZ International Conference 2025, dedicated to chemistry, process, and materials science, were highlighted. The activities of PhD students studying in France under the Cotutelle program were also reviewed. Employment statistics of UFAZ alumni and recent data on students pursuing academic career presented.
After the presentation, UFAZ Coordinator Jean-Marc Planeix delivered a speech in which he highly praised the academic achievements. Planeix noted plans to expand the academic team and improve teaching methodologies. Stressing the deep integration of AI into all areas of life, the UFAZ Coordinator highlighted the importance of adapting teaching practices to meet the evolving demands. He said that pedagogical resources are being updated, French academic staff is already embracing this integration, and similar practices should be implemented at UFAZ.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, where faculty members had the opportunity to raise their questions.
