A five-day fieldwork event was organized for students, covering destinations such as Khizi, Altiagac, Candy Cane Mountains, Gilezi Khizi road, the entrance of Khizi, Perekushkul, Kirmaky Valley, and Yasamal Valley.

The aim was to teach students how to interpret the geological history of various Caucasus outcrops using essential geological tools like magnifying lenses, compasses, hardness tests, and techniques for drawing stratigraphic columns and conducting geological mapping.

At each outcrop, students examined rock types, identified depositional environments and rock ages, described visible deformations, and attempted to relate these outcrops to each other to piece together key aspects of the Greater Caucasus' geological history.
