Azerbaijan Public Employment Agency Held Individual Consultations for UFAZ and ASOIU Students

To support students in enhancing their academic performance and preparing for a successful professional career, the Azerbaijan Public Employment Agency conducted on-site individual consultations at UFAZ. Career consultants Mikayil Tagiyev and Nargiz Bayramova met with 15 students throughout the day as part of this initiative, aimed at promoting the practical application of professional knowledge among young people.

The consultations, which included both undergraduate and graduate students, were organized within the framework of the Azerbaijan Public Employment Agency’s support service “Alo Karyera”. The primary goal of these one-on-one meetings was to address participants’ questions regarding employment opportunities and career planning.

The consultations covered the following key areas:

• Effective career planning
• Labor market research and requirements
• Job search strategies
• CV and motivation letter preparation
• Interview preparation

Each professional session lasted 25-30 minutes and provided students with clarity on career-related topics while addressing their concerns about future employment. Participants gained insights into strategic approaches for building a successful career and familiarized themselves with essential planning tools. Discussions also included monitoring current labor market trends and gathering information on sector-specific demands.

Students received in-depth guidance on identifying suitable job positions, accessing the most effective job search platforms, and using appropriate methods to pursue employment. One of the most frequently asked topics-how to prepare a successful CV-was also thoroughly covered. The importance of presenting one's skills and qualifications accurately and aligning them with job requirements was emphasized.

Special attention was given to the interview stage, which students often find most challenging. The consultants provided detailed information on how to approach job interviews, key considerations to keep in mind, and how to improve self-presentation skills.

These individual consultations were highly valuable for UFAZ and ASOIU students in terms of career planning. Through this initiative, students recognized the importance of taking well-thought-out steps as they enter the professional world.
