UFAZ Faculty Member Leyla Aliyeva Successfully Defends Her PhD Dissertation

Leyla Aliyeva, a faculty member of the Chemical Engineering programme at the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) and a doctoral researcher in the Cotutelle PhD programme jointly conducted by the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and the University of Strasbourg (Unistra), has successfully defended her doctoral dissertation at the University of Strasbourg and has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

She defended her dissertation, entitled “From the synthesis of hydroxyapatite nanoparticles to the preparation of hydroxyapatite-reinforced polymer microfibers by microfluidic processes,” at the Charles Sadron Institute of the University of Strasbourg. The research was conducted under the supervision of Ulviyya Hasanova, Christophe Serra, and Delphine Chan-Seng. The findings of the dissertation offer promising scientific approaches in the fields of bone tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and the development of advanced biomaterials.
