UFAZ Held Ceremony for the Presentation of UNISTRA Student Cards and Announcement of “Movsum bey Khanlarov” and “Eyyub Taghiyev” Scholarship Programs

On October 9, the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) held a ceremony to present student cards from the University of Strasbourg (UNISTRA) to its first-year (L0) students.
The event began with opening remarks by UFAZ Executive Director, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, and the University’s Secretary General, Martin Godon. In their speeches, the UFAZ management congratulated the students on receiving their UNISTRA student cards, emphasizing that these cards symbolize their official integration into the European higher education system.
During the ceremony, the student cards were presented to bachelor’s and master’s students across all study programs. The event was regarded as another demonstration of the strong academic collaboration between UFAZ and the University of Strasbourg.
In the next part of the ceremony, the names of upper-year students awarded scholarships were announced. A group of undergraduate students from the programs in Computer Science, Geosciences and Geophysical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Oil and Gas Engineering, and Chemistry were awarded the “Movsum bey Khanlarov Scholarship.” Each recipient will receive a monthly financial support of 200 AZN, to help them sustain their academic excellence and progress.
Graduate students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance were granted the “Eyyub Taghiyev Scholarship.” Students from the master’s programs in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Physical Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, and Geosciences will receive a monthly stipend of 250 AZN.
These initiatives are of great significance, as they both recognize and reward academic achievement at UFAZ while also strengthening students’ social well-being.
The UFAZ management warmly congratulated all scholarship recipients and wished them continued success in their academic and professional endeavors. The University is confident that these talented students will make valuable contributions to their respective fields and to the wider academic community.
