UFAZ Holds Its 11th Bachelor Admission Exam

On 28 July, the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) held its bachelor admission exam for the 2026/2027 academic year.

A total of 914 applicants who had scored 450 points or above in Group I of the State Examination Center (SEC) entrance exam registered to take the UFAZ admission exam. Of these, 881 were eligible to participate, while 712 ultimately sat the exam.

Among the participants, 546 took the exam in Azerbaijani and 166 in Russian. The candidates included 423 male and 289 female applicants.

A total of 21 examination rooms were allocated in the UFAZ building, including 15 for the Azerbaijani section, 5 for the Russian section, and 1 mixed room. The examination process was supervised by 55 invigilators together with UFAZ staff. Medical personnel and police officers were also on duty throughout the exam.

The exam began at 10:00 a.m. and lasted 150 minutes. Applicants were tested in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, the General Knowledge section, and English. The examination was conducted in Azerbaijani and Russian, in line with the language of instruction in secondary schools.

The examination process was observed by Elnur Ismayilov, Vice-Rector for General Affairs of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU); Yannick Hoarau, Professor at the University of Strasbourg (Unistra) and UFAZ Program Manager; along with other representatives, who also reviewed the conditions provided for the applicants.

The exam results will be announced on 30 July, while appeals will be reviewed on 31 July. Applicants who achieve the required results for conditional admission and confirm their intention to study at UFAZ will complete their registration at the UFAZ campus on 31 July and 3–6 August.

It should be noted that, depending on the exam results, a total of 190 applicants will be admitted to UFAZ on state-funded places. The available places are distributed as follows: 60 in Computer Science, 40 in Chemical Engineering, 30 in Chemistry, 30 in Petroleum Engineering and Reservoir Geology, and 30 in Geology, Geosciences and Georesources.
