UFAZ Hosted a Career Fair with the Participation of 40 Companies

On November 28, the annual Career Fair was held jointly by the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ). The fair brought together leading companies, industry representatives, and different field professionals with senior students and graduates.

The event began with an opening speech by the Executive Director of the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov. Afterwards, the Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Associate Professor Rufat Azizov, welcomed the guests and delivered a presentation on the achievements of the university. Following the official part, the exhibition area was opened to students.

A total of 40 companies participated in the fair with their booths, including SOCAR, SOCAR Polymer, bp, Azercell, SOCAR Downstream, AzerGold, Azersun, TotalEnergies, EiGroup, Deloitte, ABB, Simbrella, Azerconnect, SLB, Sustainera, Holcim, AzInTelecom, Baku Metro CJSC, EY Azerbaijan, NORM, JOCAP, and Turan Drilling. Company representatives shared detailed information about their work areas, the qualities they look for in potential employees, current vacancies, and internship programs.

More than 500 students and graduates attended the fair, approached company booths, asked questions, and learned about current labor-market requirements, field-specific projects, job and internship opportunities.

Alongside the fair, several informative sessions were held. Participants received detailed information about UFAZ master’s programs. The Public Employment Agency organized a two-hour mobile consultation session, while AZCON Holding presented its Digital Bridge internship program.

The Career Fair is recognized as an important platform for supporting the professional development of students and graduates and for strengthening their connection with industry.

It should be noted that since 2021, UFAZ has been organizing an annual Career Fair. The first fair was held in collaboration with UFAZ, the Embassy of France in Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan-France Chamber of Commerce, and the Azerbaijan-France Alumni Association. In 2022, the fair was held for the second time, bringing leading regional and international companies together with UFAZ students. In 2023, nearly 40 companies participated with their booths and presentation sessions. In 2024, the annual Career Fair was jointly organized by the UFAZ Career Center and the newly established Career Center at ASOIU.
