UFAZ Hosts Symposium Dedicated to Molecular Design and Functional Materials
On May 7, within the framework of the anniversary scientific events of the French Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), a scientific seminar titled “UFAZ 10th Anniversary Symposium: Molecular Design and Functional Materials for a Changing World” was organized. The symposium brought together researchers and young scientists working in the fields of molecular design, advanced materials, and sustainable applications.
The moderator of the event, Associate Professor Dunya Babanly, led the scientific discussions and emphasized the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in the fields of modern materials science and chemical engineering.
Within the framework of the symposium, three main scientific presentations were delivered. The first presentation was conducted by Dr. Farah Asgarkhanova on the topic “Computer-aided molecular design for cosmetic applications.” Leyla Aliyeva, a PhD student at the University of Strasbourg (Unistra) under the Cotutelle program, delivered a presentation titled “Preparation of hydroxyapatite nanoparticle/polymer composite microfibers in a microfluidic system.” The final presentation was dedicated to “Evolution of the chemical composition and toxicity of plastics and additives during ageing” and was delivered by Aytaj Adilova, a PhD student at the University of Paris Saclay.
The symposium provided participants with the opportunity to become acquainted with modern scientific research, discuss new approaches, and evaluate current challenges in the field of materials science.
At the end of the event, participants exchanged views on future research directions and new cooperation opportunities in the field of sustainable materials.
