UFAZ is launching a new project
The French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) is launching a new project. "Empowering Girls in Engineering” aims to ensure gender equality in the STEM field.
The project seeks to encourage young girls to perceive engineering as a successful profession and career opportunity, thereby restoring gender balance in STEM fields where women are underrepresented. Additionally, this initiative aims to eliminate established negative stereotypes in this field. Within the framework of the project, participants will be informed about the fundamental principles of engineering and the current career opportunities in this field. They will also develop problem-solving and teamwork skills.
It is worth noting that within the 'Empowering Girls in Engineering' project, the workshops and presentations will be conducted in five different schools in Baku. In the end, the 30 most actively participating students in these workshops will have the opportunity to visit UFAZ and its laboratories.
