UFAZ Student Gained Practical Experience in Sustainable Industry Practices in Türkiye

Five students from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), including Zemfirakhanim Nasirli, an Oil and Gas Engineering student at the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), participated in a technical training program organized in collaboration with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in Chanakkale, Türkiye.
The program, held from July 19 to August 3, was implemented as part of the ongoing cooperation between ASOIU and TİKA. During the training, participants took part in practical sessions on industrial production processes, workplace safety protocols, waste management and recycling in production environments, green energy solutions, and sustainable manufacturing practices. They also gained in-depth knowledge about environmental management systems, including ISO 14001 standards, and energy efficiency technologies applied in industrial facilities.
Zemfirakhanim Nasirli participated in technical site visits to steel production facilities, solar panel farms, wind turbines, and the Agricultural Credit Cooperative Market, where she gained first-hand insights into the practical application of sustainable industry practices. Together with her teammates, she also presented their project titled “Enhancing Energy Efficiency in Steel Facilities through Smart Energy Recovery Technologies: Application of Piezoelectric Systems.”
We believe that this collaboration program has provided Zemfirakhanim with valuable knowledge and practical experience, and we wish her great success in her future professional endeavors!
