UFAZ Student Participates in the UN Climate Week 4

Mariya Tikhomirova, a student majoring in Geology, Geosciences and Georesources at the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), participated in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Fourth Climate Week (CW4) as a representative of the academic and youth sectors.

Held at the Baku Convention Center from September 7 to 11, the event aimed to strengthen international cooperation on climate action, accelerate the implementation of commitments under the Paris Agreement, and promote practical climate solutions. The event brought together government representatives, international organisations, the private sector, academia, civil society, and youth from different countries.

As part of the event, the Implementation Forum was held on September 9-10. Mariya Tikhomirova participated in discussion sessions focusing on climate action, industrial decarbonisation, water resources, electrification, and climate information integrity. She also had the opportunity to exchange views with experts and other participants from different countries.
