UFAZ Student Represents Azerbaijan at a Prestigious European Internet Governance Forum
Aniya Baghirova, a Computer Science student at the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), actively participated in the Youth Dialogue on Internet Governance (YouthDIG 2026) programme and the European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG 2026) forum held in Brussels, Belgium.
As part of the YouthDIG programme, which took place from May 23 to 25, Aniya engaged in international discussions on a range of important topics, including internet governance, human rights, children's rights in the online environment, data privacy, and digital security. Together with young participants from different countries, she took part in debates, workshops, and collaborative sessions aimed at developing youth perspectives on current digital policy challenges.
During EuroDIG 2026, held on May 26-27, participants explored key issues related to the future of internet governance and joined events marking the 20th anniversary of the .eu domain. As part of the forum programme, Aniya contributed to one of the sessions as a speaker and presented her views and recommendations, actively contributing to the discussions.
In addition, she participated in the presentation of the YouthDIG Messages, a document summarizing the outcomes of the YouthDIG programme and reflecting the perspectives and recommendations of young people from across Europe and beyond on the future of the digital world.
