UFAZ Student Selected for the CERN Summer Student Programme
A student of the Computer Science program at the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), Asiman Ismayilova, has been accepted to the CERN Summer Student Programme 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious research programmes.
Selected from more than 10,000 applicants, Asiman Ismayilova will spend eight weeks this summer at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. As part of the programme, she will work on the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to accelerate particle physics simulations within the LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
It should be noted that CERN is not only one of the leading scientific research centres in modern physics, but is also known as the birthplace of the World Wide Web. Every year, enormous volumes of scientific data are processed there, and artificial intelligence technologies play a key role in exploring the fundamental laws of the universe.
We congratulate Asiman Ismayilova on this remarkable achievement and wish her continued success in her scientific activities at CERN and in her future career.
