On 2-6 October 2023, as part of its annual programme, EU4Energy Programme organized the Autumn Digital EU4Energy Week for Eastern Partnership (EaP) universities from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine with a background in energy, law, environment, economics and EU member state energy experts to discuss the different aspects of EU energy market and principles of its regulation. The leading theme of the Digital Week 2023 was “transition” allowing to capture a broad range of energy issues. The series of sessions held online.

10 UFAZ students had the opportunity to listen to the lectures and presentations of the EU experts and ask questions. On the last day, the event concluded with the competition, where all students, who attended the sessions, were invited to take a multiple-choice test based on the materials covered during the sessions.

UFAZ 1st year Computer Science student Rashid Huseynov won the final quiz and was granted an opportunity to go to Belgium for training.

We are sharing his impressions: “The 5 days of lessons were very informative. They added onto my knowledge of energy issues and tackled both scientific and economic factors of energy production, distribution, and usage. The experts were very thorough, answering any questions I had. The quiz was intense, but I ended up winning. I am very grateful for this.”
