UFAZ Students Participated in ICT Event Held in Uzbekistan

Third-year Bachelor's students in Computer Science represented UFAZ at the event titled “Raqamli Avlod Qizlari” (“Digital Generation Girls”) held in Uzbekistan. Ayan Ismayilova, Emiliya Yaverova, Lala Zamanova, Narmin Gulamova, and Narmin Abdullayeva took part in the four-day initiative, which focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence, the green economy, climate change, education, and innovation.
The program, which encouraged girls to explore technological advancements and lead innovative initiatives, brought together participants from Uzbekistan, Jordan, and China. United around a common project, the girls voiced meaningful ideas aimed at improving the environment, climate, education, and social life, refusing to remain indifferent to social challenges in their communities.
Throughout the event, students engaged in hands-on sessions focused on the application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, and also presented their own AI-based projects. Aspiring to build careers in AI and ICT, the girls had the opportunity to share ideas developed from their academic knowledge with an international audience.
In addition to the professional aspects, the students had the chance to discover Uzbekistan’s cultural values and collaborate with peers from different cultural backgrounds.
The project, which brings girls together through the power of knowledge, has been held annually since 2021. Over 7,000 young women have been discovered through this program, and many of their proposed startups have evolved into impactful projects.
Highlighting the power of diversity in technology, the event proved to be a highly enriching experience for UFAZ students as well.
