Students of the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) have achieved outstanding success at the Global Final of the Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026, one of the world's most prestigious competitions in the field of information and communication technologies.
Representing Azerbaijan in the Cloud Track category, the UFAZ team successfully advanced through the national, regional, and international qualification stages before competing against leading university teams from around the world at the Global Final held in China.
The team consisted of Ayan Ismayilova, a fourth-year Computer Science student, and Nazrin Aliyeva and Asmar Aliyeva, third-year Computer Science students. The team was led by Parviz Nasirov, UFAZ IT Coordinator and Huawei ICT Academy Instructor.
Competing in the Cloud Track Practical Competition, the students demonstrated their expertise in cloud infrastructure, system deployment, resource management, and enterprise cloud solutions, earning Third Prize at the Global Final.
In addition to this achievement, the team received the prestigious Women in Tech Award, which recognises the contributions and accomplishments of female students in the field of information and communication technologies. The award aims to promote greater participation of women in the global technology sector and celebrate their achievements at the international level.
As part of the Global Final programme, the UFAZ delegation also visited Huawei's headquarters in China. During the visit, the students explored the company's innovation centres, research laboratories, and exhibition halls, gaining valuable insights into the latest developments in cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, 5G networks, smart cities, and digital transformation.
We congratulate the UFAZ team on this achievement and wish them continued success in their future endeavours.
