UFAZ Students Secured 3rd Place at Siemens Sustainable Design Hackathon 2025

On December 13-14, students from the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) successfully participated in the Siemens Sustainable Design Hackathon 2025, showcasing their innovation and technical skills in agriculture, smart cities, and renewable energy solutions.

The Guardian-X team, made up of Farida Orujova, Ismayil Yusifli, and Humbat Jamalov, all Computer Science students at UFAZ, competed against 19 teams in a rigorous 48-hour hackathon and secured 3rd place.

As a recognition of their achievement, the team was awarded a 1,000 AZN cash prize, along with certificates, mentorship, and access to the Siemens Digital Industries ecosystem. The event encouraged participants to create innovative and sustainable solutions supporting the development of green and digital economy initiatives.
