UFAZ to Host a Research Seminar on Biomedical Engineering
About event
On October 23, the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) will host a research seminar titled “Biomedical Application of Magnetic Localization,” delivered by Morgan Madec, Professor at the University of Strasbourg and researcher at the ICube Laboratory.
Morgan Madec is a researcher at the ICube Laboratory (UMR 7357), jointly affiliated with the University of Strasbourg and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). He received his PhD in Engineering Sciences in 2006 and joined ICube as an Associate Professor in 2008. In 2023, he was appointed Full Professor. Since 2022, he has headed the EM3 research team at ICube, which focuses on Electronics, Microelectronics and Multiphysics Systems Modeling.
His research focuses on the development of integrated instrumentation systems for biomedical engineering and environmental monitoring. His work covers sensor design and integration, signal processing, and data analysis. His recent research includes electromagnetic tracking systems for medical applications, portable nuclear magnetic resonance devices for monitoring drinking water contamination, and microscopic imaging technologies combined with data processing for pathogen detection.
The seminar will explore how magnetic fields and sensors can be used to track medical devices accurately, highlighting the role of these technologies in biomedical engineering. It will also touch on research aimed at improving precision in medical procedures and developing innovative tracking systems for a range of medical applications.
The seminar will conclude with a Q&A session, followed by a networking opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and discuss research interests.
