About event

We are pleased to invite you to a seminar titled “From Space to Sustainability: Insights from SAR and Optical Remote Sensing on Water, Land, and Climate Dynamics”, delivered by Dr. Bahruz Ahadov, a leading expert in geospatial technologies, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), and InSAR (Interferometric SAR). The event will take place on May 13 and offers a valuable opportunity to explore how cutting-edge space-based observations are transforming our understanding of natural systems and supporting sustainable development.

Dr. Ahadov earned his PhD from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) and completed his postdoctoral research at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), where he contributed to high-impact research in Earth observation and geophysical hazard assessment. His expertise lies in using SAR and optical remote sensing technologies for applications such as land subsidence monitoring, water resource management, climate dynamics, and natural hazard risk assessment.

The researcher is the recipient of several prestigious fellowships, including Fulbright (USA), DAAD (Germany), and BOYA (China). Dr. Ahadov currently collaborates with top-tier institutions and research centers worldwide and continues to publish extensively in peer-reviewed journals on topics related to Earth science, climate resilience, and remote sensing innovation.

Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with advanced scientific perspectives at the intersection of space technology, sustainability, and climate science.
