Job Description

Brief description of UFAZ: UFAZ is an ambitious project initiated by the Presidents of the French Republic and the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2014. It is administered by the historic university of Azerbaijan - the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) from the Azerbaijani side and the prestigious University of Strasbourg (UNISTRA) from the French side.

UFAZ delivers 2 national diplomas (French and Azerbaijani) at the Bachelor level in the following specialties: Computer Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Geophysics, Oil and Gas engineering. And at the Master level in the following specialties: Data Science and artificial intelligence, Physical chemistry/Chemical engineering, Geosciences, Water Resources and Management. Tuition language is English.

Position description:

Position name: Coordinator of AUF Center

Type of contract: Full-Time

Position in the organizational structure: Attached to the Executive Director of UFAZ.

Starting date: February, 2026

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit quarterly and annual reports on the activities and financial status;
  • Develop and implement annual activity plans and corresponding budgets;
  • Oversee the CEF-Bakou profile on the AUF.Org portal, ensuring that information is accurate and up-to-date;
  • Manage and create content for the CEF-Bakou Instagram page to enhance engagement and visibility;
  • Maintain effective communication with AUF general and regional coordinators;
  • Inform UFAZ faculty and staff about training and capacity-building opportunities relevant to their professional development;
  • Research and identify opportunities provided by AUF that are attractive to UFAZ students and PhD candidates;
  • Share relevant project calls, competitions, and scholarships with students;
  • Engage students to participate in competitions, providing necessary administrative support for their involvement;
  • Assist students in preparing project proposals and offer guidance during the implementation of activities;

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Education, Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in social media management and digital content creation.
  • Experience in higher education administration or a similar role is an advantage.
  • French language proficiency is obligatory at a minimum level of C1.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
