UFAZ TensorScience Team wins the international GSA Geekie Award 2018!

On June 27, UFAZ TensorScience team, finalist and 2nd prize of ActInSpace Azerbaijan won the GSA Geekie Award 2018!

The GSA award gives a chance to all the team members to participate in the European Space Week, held in Marseille (France) from 3-6 December 2018, the largest gathering of GNSS and EO experts in Europe.
GSA is the European GNSS Agency (Global Navigation Satellite System), and one of the international sponsors and partners of ActInSpace 2018.

All five members of the winning UFAZ team will have the unique opportunity to present during the European Space Week in France their Geospinner application: Geospinner is an entertaining product based on the rules of the famous Geocaching, and using innovative Galileo geolocation technologies. Galileo is used as it allows users to know exact position with greater precision than any other geolocation system. The key feature of the project is the special approach to finding the objects - Geocaches.

Users search for the goal using hints (instead of coordinates) appearing on the screen during the process. The Geocaches themselves - are boxes with real objects of different type and value, but there is a special prize for every user in each box: a spinner made in the style of the project - Geospinner.

To get the better idea of the project, TensorScience team made videos about their project:

1. Video to demonstrate main principles of geocaching and Geospinner's interface

2. Video to demonstrate the work process and future plans

Victory of the TensorScience Team was officially announced during the ActInSpace international final in Toulouse (France) on June 27.
