“Advanced AI and Machine Learning Applications” Hackathon Held for ASOIU and UFAZ Students

On November 29-30, the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), in collaboration with the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) and the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), hosted the “Advanced AI and Machine Learning Applications” Hackathon. The event, organized for ASOIU and UFAZ students, encouraged the development and presentation of innovative projects with the support of experienced mentors.

Over the course of two days, 22 teams comprising 85 participants showcased their knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Under the guidance of mentors, the teams had the opportunity to refine their projects, solve challenges, and develop prototypes applicable to real-world problems.

At the end of the Hackathon, the submitted projects were evaluated by a panel of judges, and the winners were announced. The first place was awarded to the “AI Strikers” team, while “NAVI” and “Smart Screen” secured second and third places, respectively. The winning teams received prizes of 2500 AZN, 1500 AZN, and 1000 AZN.

The event provided students with an excellent opportunity to enhance both their technical and teamwork skills, develop innovative solutions to real-world problems, and gain practical experience that they can apply in their future careers.
