Next Meeting of the UFAZ Steering Committee Held in Strasbourg

A delegation from the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) participated in the UFAZ Steering Committee meeting held at the University of Strasbourg.

The Rector of ASOIU, Associate Professor Rufat Azizov, visited the University of Strasbourg (UNISTRA) on June 26-27. The main purpose of the visit was to take part in the meeting of the Steering Committee of the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ).

The Rector was accompanied by ASOIU Vice-Rector, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, UFAZ Acting Executive Director Latifa Nasibova, and UFAZ Secretary-General Martin Godon. As part of the two-day program, the delegation visited several leading research institutes of the University of Strasbourg.

On June 26, the delegation visited well-known research centers such as ICPEES, ICS, and IPCMS, where they became acquainted with the modern research infrastructure in the fields of materials science, polymer chemistry, analytical chemistry, and nanotechnologies. On June 27, visits were made to the university's Analytical Chemistry Platform, Data Center, and ISIS Institute.

The UFAZ Steering Committee meeting was co-chaired by ASOIU Rector Rufat Azizov and President of the University of Strasbourg, Professor Frédérique Berrod. Members of the board from both sides participated in the meeting. During the session, discussions focused on the joint management structure of UFAZ in education and research, as well as the implementation of ongoing projects.
