UFAZ Academic Staff Members Receive Research Grants in the Research Project Call 2026

The results of the Research Project Call 2026, jointly launched by the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), have been announced. Following a scientific evaluation conducted by the members of the UFAZ Research Council and international experts, 10 research projects were selected for funding. A total of AZN 109,183 has been allocated for the implementation of these projects.

Among the successful applicants are four members of the UFAZ academic staff. Arzu Aliyeva, Geophysics Programme Coordinator, Zumrud Yunusova, Chemistry Laboratory Assistant, Gulyaz Najafova, Physics Coordinator and Teacher, and Yusif Ibrahimov, Computer Science Teacher, have been awarded research grants for their proposed projects. Their research covers innovative topics in the fields of geology and geophysics, renewable energy materials, smart nanomaterials, and artificial intelligence.

This research call aims to foster the development of research activities at UFAZ and ASOIU, while promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthening international research partnerships, and supporting young researchers. In addition, several of the selected projects will further reinforce scientific collaborations established through doctoral programmes within the French universities of the UFAZ consortium.
