Seventeen second-year Master’s students from the Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ) have traveled to France to undergo a 4-to-6-month internship as part of the final semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. As an integral part of the curriculum, these young researchers are engaged in practical activities at leading laboratories and research centers located in key French cities, including Strasbourg, Rennes, Nantes, and Paris.

Currently, the students are operating within prestigious centers affiliated with the world-renowned University of Strasbourg (UNISTRA), the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). The host institutions include high-tech scientific hubs such as CEA Paris-Saclay (NIMBE/LIONS), INSERM Strasbourg, the Hubert Curien Multidisciplinary Institute (IPHC), the Institute of Chemistry and Processes for Energy, Environment and Health (ICPEES), the Laboratory of Reactions and Process Engineering (LRGP), the Charles Sadron Institute (ICS), the Strasbourg Institute of Earth Sciences (ITES), the Engineering, Computer Science and Imaging Laboratory (ICUBE), and LITIS.

During the internship, students specializing in Physical Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, Geosciences, and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence have the opportunity to utilize Europe’s modern experimental facilities. They are working on their Master’s theses under the direct supervision of industry experts, as well as French professors and scientists, gaining a deep understanding of international research methodologies.

To support the social well-being and scientific activities of the deployed students, a monthly stipend will be provided throughout the duration of the internship.
