UFAZ Student Successfully Completes AI Summer Research Programme in China

Ilaha Algayeva, a second-year Computer Science student at the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), has successfully completed the international summer research programme Mathematics and AI in Sustainable Development held in Shanghai, China.

The one-month on-site programme was jointly organized by Fei Shu (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. and The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences. Throughout the programme, students from different countries worked on research projects exploring the applications of mathematics and artificial intelligence in sustainable development.

During the programme, Ilaha joined as an AI Research Intern. She developed a simplified simulation using Python and presented her project to the programme's mentors and fellow participants. The constructive feedback she received helped strengthen both her technical expertise and her research and presentation skills.

In addition to the academic component, the programme offered participants the opportunity to collaborate with students from diverse backgrounds, exchange knowledge, and build valuable professional connections. During her stay in Shanghai, Ilaha also had the chance to explore China's culture, history, language, and innovation ecosystem.
