UFAZ Students triumph at Green Hackathon with a 5000 AZN Prize

UFAZ Students triumph at Green Hackathon with a 5000 AZN Prize. Participants developed projects aligned with Sustainable Development Goals for the SABAH incubation program's hackathon. The victorious team, “Ecoffin by Codage," featured UFAZ's own Elgun Hasanov and Emin Khalifayev, alongside two peers from ADA University. Their innovative project proposes the creation of Ecoffin, an eco-friendly paraffin designed to reduce carbon emissions from rocket launches.

With 300 tonnes of CO2 emitted per launch and around 200 launches annually, their solution aims to make rocketry both scalable and sustainable, planning ahead for the 2500 launches expected over the next decade. Ecoffin supports a cleaner future in space exploration.
