About event
Turan Mutallimov, a PhD student at the University of Aberdeen and a participant in the State Program, will hold a research seminar at UFAZ on November 4th. The seminar, titled "Microbial Guardians of the Seas: Unlocking Bacteria's Power for Crude Oil Cleanup," will take place at 16:15 in Room 102.
Mutallimov specializes in Petroleum Engineering and focuses his doctoral research on advancing the understanding of microbial biodegradation processes in petroleum environments. His research aims to refine mathematical models to improve the prediction of crude oil biodegradation in coastal soils by integrating environmental factors such as moisture content, pH levels, and heavy metal presence.
In addition to his PhD studies, Mutallimov holds a Master’s degree in Offshore Engineering from the University of Bologna.
