Admission Process at UFAZ Has Been Completed

On August 2, the results of the admission exam for the bachelor's program at UFAZ for the 2024/2025 academic year were announced.
A total of 466 applicants registered for the exam, and 358 of them participated. Based on the final results, 186 students earned the title of “student.” Among the admitted students, 60 were accepted into Computer Science, 40 into Chemical Engineering, 30 into Oil and Gas Engineering, 29 into Chemistry, and 30 into Geophysics Engineering.
Rasul Rahimov, who achieved the highest score in the exam organized by the University of Strasbourg, has chosen UFAZ’s Computer Science program.
As a result of UFAZ's awareness-raising and support campaigns in recent years to encourage young women to pursue engineering specialties, the number of female applicants showing interest in the university has increased. Notably, 47.3% (88 students) of the newly admitted students are female.
The list of successful applicants has been submitted to the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Ministry will, in turn, present the names of the admitted students to the State Examination Center, ensuring they will not participate in the competition for other higher education institutions.
It is worth noting that upon graduation from UFAZ, students will receive diplomas from both the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and France's University of Strasbourg (or the University of Rennes for the Oil and Gas Engineering specialty). The duration of studies for all specialties at UFAZ is four years, and admissions have been fully state-funded starting this year.
