UFAZ held an Orientation Day for its newly admitted students
On September 6, UFAZ held an Orientation Day for its newly admitted (L0) students, marking the start of an exciting academic journey. The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Vazeh Asgarov, Acting Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), who encouraged students to make the most of the opportunities ahead. Following him, Latifa Nasibova, Acting Executive Director of UFAZ, extended her best wishes and expressed her confidence in the students’ success.
A video presentation featuring UFAZ’s program coordinators was then showcased, providing an overview of the academic and extracurricular opportunities at the university. Samra Shiriyeva, Deputy Head of the Education Department, followed with an informative session about the department’s structure and its key role in supporting students throughout their academic journey.
Khulya Sabirli, PR Manager of UFAZ, took the stage next to share information about the Strategic Partnership and Development Department's initiatives, emphasizing its role in fostering collaborations and future opportunities for students. In addition, students were introduced to the activities of the Career Center and the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, highlighting resources available for professional development and innovation.
After the formal presentations, a lively Question and Answer session allowed students to engage directly with UFAZ’s administration, addressing any concerns and clarifying aspects of student life.
Chingiz Khankishiyev, Head of the UFAZ Student Council, provided an overview of student clubs and activities, encouraging new students to get involved in the vibrant campus community. Students then had the opportunity to explore various club corners and sign up for the ones that interested them. Among the clubs represented were the Eco Club, Psychology Club, Chemical Engineering Club, Music Club, Renewable Energy Club, Gym Club, UFAZ Talks, and Volleyball Club.
The event continued with an impressive musical performance by members of the UFAZ Music Club, adding a lively touch to the day. A coffee break followed, allowing students to network and start building connections within the UFAZ community.
