UFAZ Hosted Meeting on the "Reaxys" Scientific Platform
On February 24, a key meeting was held at the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) to enhance research opportunities in chemistry and materials science.
The meeting welcomed representatives from Elsevier, one of the world’s leading scientific data providers: Paul Girgis, Senior Account Manager for the Middle East, Central Asia, and Southeast Europe, and Sales Director Umit Yontar. Representing UFAZ in the discussions were research team members Associate Professor Dunya Babanly, Dr. Maxime Florent, and Dr. Mina Baghirova.
During the meeting, the group had a productive exchange about the current use and future potential of the Reaxys platform, which is set to boost the university's research activities. They discussed how UFAZ researchers are currently using the platform and explored upcoming features and enhancements set to be launched soon.
There was also an exciting talk about organizing a special competition to encourage students to use the platform more effectively. Elsevier plans to provide special prizes for the winners.
Reaxys is a high-tech database designed specifically for chemists. By bringing together experimental data on millions of chemical reactions and compounds, it helps researchers save time in the lab and achieve more accurate results.
We believe this collaboration will greatly benefit the scientific research of both UFAZ researchers and students.
