UFAZ Management Held a Meeting with Officials from Zeiss Microscopy
On November 19, a meeting was held at the teaching laboratories building of the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) between UFAZ management and officials from Zeiss Microscopy.
The meeting was attended by UFAZ Executive Director Assoc. Prof. Vazeh Asgarov, Guido Bauhammer, Regional Director of Zeiss Microscopy, Elmir Bashirov, Sales Manager of Zeiss AMK Azerbaijan branch, and the Deputy CEO of Medeks company.
During the meeting, the participants discussed potential future collaborations and the challenges facing the microscope industry. Special attention was given to the implementation of technological innovations, improving product quality, and developing strategies in line with industry standards.
After the formal meeting, the guests toured UFAZ’s high-tech teaching laboratories. Discussions focused on the laboratory environment, the condition and use of equipment, and ways to enhance the quality of laboratory tools.
At the end of the meeting, Zeiss Microscopy gifted two Primotech Zeiss microscopes to UFAZ. The new microscopes were installed in the Earth Sciences and Analytical Chemistry laboratories and will be used for teaching and research. These high-precision optical systems are specialized for the analysis of various materials and minerals.

As a result of the meeting, UFAZ and Zeiss Microscopy agreed to strengthen scientific collaboration and expand joint opportunities in teaching and research.
