UFAZ Math Club Organized a Competition Dedicated to International Pi Day
On March 14, the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) hosted the DecaPi mathematics competition, dedicated to International Pi Day and the 10th anniversary of UFAZ. Jointly organized by the UFAZ Math Club and the PathtoMath mathematicians club, the event was met with great interest among students.
A total of 14 teams representing various higher education institutions joined the intellectual challenge. Held in the popular “Khamsa” game format, the competition required teams to provide both accurate and rapid responses. Participants demonstrated strong analytical thinking and quick reflexes while tackling complex mathematical problems.
Following a highly competitive atmosphere, the Burkina-Faso team from ADA University outperformed their rivals to secure first place. The silver medal went to the πllionaries team from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), while the Losiento team from Baku Engineering University (BEU) took third place.
The primary objective of the DecaPi competition was to stimulate students' interest in mathematics, foster team spirit, and develop their skills in solving complex problems under pressure.
We congratulate all the teams for their high level of engagement and wish them continued success in their future academic endeavors.
