UFAZ Organized an Orientation Day for Newly Admitted Students

On September 5, the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) hosted its traditional Orientation Day for newly admitted students (L0) who are taking their first steps into academic life.
The event was opened by Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, Vice-Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and Executive Director of UFAZ, who welcomed the new students and wished them success throughout their four-year academic journey. Following him, UFAZ Secretary General Martin Godon delivered a speech, expressing his strong confidence in the students’ future achievements.
Program coordinators and faculty members then provided detailed information about their respective programs and answered students’ questions. Samra Shiriyeva, Head of the Education Department, spoke about the department’s activities and the support mechanisms for students.
Later, UFAZ Public Relations Specialist Firuza Huseynova introduced the work of the Strategic Partnerships and Development Department, student engagement opportunities, and the services offered by the Career Center. Parviz Nasirov, IT Specialist, presented the digital resources and facilities available to students.
After the official speeches, the floor was given to the UFAZ Student Council, who organized an interactive game that added color and fun to the event. The winners of the game were awarded special prizes.
The event continued with performances prepared by the Music Club. Afterwards, other student clubs made their presentations, giving freshmen the opportunity to get acquainted with extracurricular activities and apply for membership.
The Orientation Day not only introduced the academic opportunities of the university but also highlighted its vibrant student life, leaving the newly admitted students with memorable first impressions.
