UFAZ Students Won 3rd Place at the Smart Solutions for People Hackathon
Students from the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) successfully participated in the Smart Solutions for People Hackathon organized by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), earning 3rd place.
The two-day hackathon, held on December 20-21 at the Sumgayit Innovation Center, brought together young people with the aim of developing innovative and technological solutions to real-world problems. The event focused on fast thinking, teamwork, and transforming ideas into functional prototypes within a short period of time.
The ZeroG team, representing UFAZ, consisted of Milana Karimova, a third-year student in Geosciences and Geophysical Engineering at UFAZ, Zaman Kazimov, a Master’s student in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at UFAZ, and Fakhreddin Abbasov, a student at UNEC.
The team’s project aimed to reduce carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions through collaboration with banks, promoting more environmentally responsible financial decisions. The project was highly appreciated by the jury for its innovative approach and strong social impact potential.
We congratulate the distinguished students and wish them continued success.
